I plan to do a small series of picspams in order to share the most beautiful quality photos I've found of the Argentine National Team, in their successful pursuit of the Olympic Gold Medal.

First, I want to start with those players I consider 'unsung' - the subs, or the players who were not the original choices for the positions. For instance, Jose Sosa, a talented young midfielder with Bayern Munich, who came on once or twice during the tournament. Yesterday he replaced Angel Di Maria, who had to come off because of heat exhaustion.

ISN'T HE GORGEOUS? There are more pics below the cut.

Sosa is quite lovely :D

LOL, on whose back is Garay? It's kind of sexy how Zabaleta is holding the squished player's hand XD

Sosa is one more hot Argie!! They never stop coming! LOL.

I was trying to figure out whose back Garay is on from both pics I have of that moment. I can't figure it out. It's not Fer, is it? Actually, I don't think I've ever seen another player jump on Fer. Maybe they think they'd hurt him if they did.XD

I love it when the players hold hands. I was thinking of doing a picspam on that. After I put together a picspam of Gago's ass. Maybe I should wait and do that after the new Real Madrid season because I'm sure there will be lots more coming. LOL. But I was also thinking of doing a picspam of players hand-holding, because some of them are very arousing. LOL.

SOSA! :D Thank you so much for this picspam!

Unfortunately, I don't think that taking part in the Olympics has helped him in any way, though. :/ He hardly got to play (which is understandable considering the competition!) and clearly couldn't recommend himself for more call-ups, and he missed the preseason at Bayern, which means he'll have another difficult start there. *sigh* I had hoped he could improve his standings in at least one department.

By the way, Sosa replaced Agüero in the final. Banega came for di María. ;)

You're welcome, and awwwww....I feel bad that Jose didn't get more playing time, but the competition he has is deadly. There are still so many Argies back in Argentina that never get a call-up at all and yet they are good enough. I also feel it's a shame that nobody got to see Buonanotte either, but he will be a star of the future, so no hurry I suppose.

Sometimes I think the players have to get lucky to get into the first team, even if it's because of another player's injury, like with Osky being replaced by Romero, who shone when he had his chance.

*facepalm* You're right. Sosa replaced Aguero, didn't he? By that time it was about 2 AM here and I was still awake but frazzled. LOL.
